Northampton Carnival 2010 Launch The Deco, Abington Square Northampton. Saturday, 23rd January 2010 This years launch took place at the Deco Theatre, in the centre of Northampton and involved various workshops for everyone to take part in. There were workshop guidance given by local artists and carnival experience given by artists from Luton, Notting Hill and Leicester. People young and old got the chance to design t shirts, have a go at making headgear and backpacks and create designs whilst learning how to make costumes and clothing to parade with. Music was provided by local drummers and musicians for people to join in with.
