What a great success last night was at the Picturedrome, Kettering Road, Northampton it was full of music, style and colour all of which you only get at carnival time. It was a fun night, with many events happening and lots of music and style. It was nice to see a good crowd at the event supporting the launch itself, as well as to the many acts who performed on the night. The message of the spirit of the community really came through when the hosts and crowd were treated to the Clifford Baldry's Irish Dancers rendition of Riverdance, this really set the scene for the whole night, who, ended up coming back on for an encore later that night. You can listen here for an audio sample of the stunning performance.Tastes and smells were available in the form of a light buffet provided for people to taste some carnival cuisine alongside the entertainment.
With the community choirs of Royal & Derrngate and The Picturedrome in full voice the place was filled with noise and atmosphere. Asian Dance, and some R N'B alongside some Jazz gave the night a flavour of style alongside the cultural showcase itself. Here are the pictures from the nights fun filled evening:
