Animals in Need - Local Northampton based charity Animals In Need helps support and aid animals by rescuing and re-homing them in a better environment. BBC Radio Northampton - Local radio station based at the top of Abington Street has a long history of being involved in community events and projects throughout the county. This radio station provides a focal point for news, local events and features on a range of topics. The radio station - currently led by Laura Moss is actively involved in community events most notably recent projects include Your Patch - a local community allotment area that is run by the listeners. The many shows on the station also help to give the local area news and culture from around the region, with presenters like Bernie Keith, Jonathan Vernon Smith, Anna Murby and not forgetting the Weekender team the station grows from strength to strength support local events, the community and its people. They always try to offer communities and ethnic groups something different each year. Kilsyth International Carnival - Official site for the Kilsyth International Carnival, this carnival is our first link outside of England on the website and will take part this year on Saturday, 12th August in Kilsyth Scotland. The carnival itself is full of culture from around the world and is a fun time for all the family from kids to adults with craft fair and performance alongside the carnival itself. Nuneaton LogoNuneaton Carnival - Official website of the Nuneaton Carnival, started in 1930 with the aim or bringing an eventful day to Nuneaton it has since grown to be one of the most popular in the region, it celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2005. The first carnival queen photo's in 1930 - Ann Seal and the first King of Mirth - Alf Clarke can be seen on the site too. Last years carnival produced some great costumes and colour and culminated in an amazing illuminated display on the last day.
