Northampton and Poitiers rocked Marburg!
The whole event is a non-profit festival organized by volunteers from the Marburger MusikerInnenverein (Musician Association Marburg) and Northampton event team John Marais. That’s why the visitors only have to pay a small entrance fee and can walk during the whole night from one pub to another enjoying themselves and getting a taste of good music of all kind of styles.Since its beginning, many relationships were created between the French-German-British twins. Therefore later in the year, a similar event, the “Twinfest”, takes place in Northampton. Bands from Marburg and Poitiers come to enjoy the musical scene in their British twin city. 2009 Photo's - click for larger images Tuesday, 4th March 2009: Website updated with a new community event section in our news page to the right, if you have an event you would like us to advertise let us know.
