Inspiration FM

The policy of "Inspiration FM" Multi-Cultural in its Programming - for the people, by the people. The station is the brainchild, of Mark Dean (Radio Production Training), Guy Williams (studio Technical Manager) and Jenny Campbell. Presenter’s, DJ’s and interviewers come from all walks of life, are resident in Northampton and like the heads of this community radio station give freely their service to "Inspiration FM".  

In the summer of 2004 Inspiration FM was presented with the Queens golden jubilee award for voluntary service by groups in the community, The Queens Award was awarded to Inspiration FM for "encouraging black minority ethnic communities and disadvantaged people in Northampton to get involved in community radio”. Inspiration FM’s long term objectives are to manage and run a Community Radio Station on a permanent small-scale frequency and run training courses with the help of industry professionals.

Although based in Sheep Street the station at present has a slot on Radio Northampton's schedule on Sunday nights from 4pm - 6pm with presenter Mark Dean & his inspiration team, feel free to listen in to this great show each week for updates.

Northampton Borough Council is responsible for a wide range of local services and public sector issues. The website contains various links and information relating to these as well as an online payment system that enables you to pay for things over the internet.

Northampton Town Football Club proudly stand side by side with the Northampton Carnival to support this community event. Royal and Derngate Theatre has recently reopened after a multi million pound redevelopement, the newly created foyers and creative spaces have drawn huge crowds to the theatre to re-establish itself as a primary venue for the arts in the region.
